luvinthemommyhood is having a tea party. Don’t worry coffee drinkers are invited too. Head on over to lovinthemommyhood to check out all the details.
My mornings always start with this beautiful mug filled with coffee (cream and sugar) and with this view from our kitchen. These two things get me through the day. I need the coffee for the caffeine and the view to remind me why we ever bought this house.
It would be rude to go to a party empty handed right?
Homemade doughnuts anyone?
Come join in the party. I’m sure it will be fun!
I wasn’t going to share this with you, but it cracks me up! This is why I love photo shop. Before I cropped the picture above this is what it looked like. Note… the kids running in front of the camera, the stickers still our new windows, the floor that was just primed waiting to be painted, and my favorite one yet… I’m wearing a Curious George band aid on my thumb! Yup, this is my life!

This is by far the best dill pickle recipe we have ever found. I found it a few years ago on epicurious. The recipe calls for either fresh dill or dill seed. We have made it both ways and can barely tell the difference between the two.
Fast Favorite Garlic Dill Pickles: makes 4 pint jars
Bring brine to boil and pour over hot packed jars. Water bath about 15 minutes.
Set for a few weeks and ENJOY!

After laminating. Take one piece of laminated fabric and fold in half like above. This is going to be the center page.
Trim all the edges.
Sew 2 pieces of laminated fabric together, wrong sides facing. (I zig-zag stitched mine.)
Repeat with last two pieces of laminated fabric.
Should have this now.
Make a book with the pieces and sew together on fold.
My favorite part about the book is how the laminated fabric allows them to remove the stickers and reuse them, but I have to warn you, beware of this!
Here is another sticker book we put together by using plastic baggies, scrapbook paper, and a few ribbons. I decided to sew the book together instead of using staples because it is safer.

There! A little book for sticker obsessed kids.

Searching for Uncle P’s cows always begins the same way. With a trip to Mc Donald’s for juice boxes and an ice coffee.
While we never know what we are going to find when we set out to search for Uncle P’s cows. The beginings and endings are ALWAYS the same.
There is ALWAYS one happy boy awake, still chattering away…
