A few weeks ago we headed out to the PT tree farm to cut down the perfect Christmas tree. On our way there we rocked out to Christmas carols in the car and talked about what kind of tree we were going to cut down. We had big plans. We were going to look at every single tree until we found the perfect one. We wanted the tallest tree we could find. My son was going to help Daddy cut down the tree with his chainsaw and then the girls were going to help Daddy drag it out. Of course all of our plans changed the moment they got out into the snow. They quickly forgot we were there to cut down our Christmas tree. They had more important things to do… like eating snow. Playing hide’n go seek. Or making snow marshmallows. And of course snowball fights. While the kiddos were playing Daddy and I spotted the perfect tree. Sure it was a bit short…but it was nice and round. We watched as Daddy cut down our tree and we all cheered as it fell. Then the kiddos went back to playing as quickly as they could. I know for certain the hubby and I were way more excited about cutting down the tree then the kiddos were.
