Just bee-cuz it’s her Golden Birthday!

So my little girl turns 4 on the 4th…it’s her golden birthday! She requested a bumble bee birthday weeks ago and I think it is just the perfect way to celebrate her “golden birthday”. We don’t do huge birthday parties in this house. We usually celebrate with just our little family of 5, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to make it super special for her. Plus being a crafty momma makes it hard not too! A few days ago I saw these bumble bee costumes at Walmart and thought they would be perfect for the party. So first thing this morning we headed to Walmart to take advantage of their 75% off sale. I planned on buying just one for the birthday girl but she really wanted one for her little sister too. How can you say no to that one?! Plus they were only $5.74 folks…score! The moment we got home they had to try them on…aren’t they too cute?I have done a few searches for bumble bee parties and who would have known there were so many cute ones out there. Just look at this cake from Giggles Galore! Actually the whole entire party is adorable and a must see! I love looking at parties that are over the top. I truly appreciate all the works that go into them and all the small details they think of. Our parties are never even close to those, but we love ours just the same. I always do more then what the kiddos seem to care about, but parties are just another way for me to release my creativity and do a little crafting. The other day I bought this bumble bee printable party kit from Paperglitter just bee-cuz I loved all those little bees. Now that I have been printing off a few of the pages I have found that I love the package even more then what I first thought. It is full of cute bumblebee sweetness! I already know that my golden birthday girl is going to love it too! So have any of you thrown a bumblebee bee party before? Any cute ideas for me? Please do share!

  1. I haven’t thrown a bee party but that cake is just too cute not to make! What about buying some inexpensive (aka $1) wings from the dollar store for the kids at the party to wear or you could make them?? Lemon drops and lemonade for the party….Pin the stinger on the bee? (cheesy I know!)

  2. I’ll only recommend the Arthur Askey Bee song, it’s an oldie but oh so cheerful!! The recordings of it aren’t great but you can youtube it and there’s a site that’ll let you download any youtube song as a MP3 legally, think it’s something like youtube-mp3.org or something like that. Anyway, I love the song and think it’s really fun! xx

  3. So cute! So cute! so cute! LOVE them… her sweet heart and happy birthday!

  4. Useful info. Lucky me I found your web site by chance, and I’m shocked why this coincidence didn’t took place in advance!
    I bookmarked it.
